Training
Elite Care at Home offers clients the highest standards of home care. In order to meet our clients’ varied needs, we provide a wide range of training opportunities to our carers.
Core training
All carers must complete the following core training modules:
- Full induction of five days
- Basic care practices
- Advanced care practices
- Moving and handling
- Food hygiene
- First aid
- Health and safety
- Medication.
Advanced training
To meet the diverse requirements of our wide range of clients, we also provide more advanced courses such as:
- Parkinson’s Awareness
- Understanding MS
- Infection Control
- Rectal Drug Administration
- PEG Feeding

In order to meet the requirements from the SSSC we are working towards becoming an SVQ centre. We plan to offer SVQ 2 and 3 to all our own staff from 2010.
